I wasn't sure what to expect when I got my hands on "Walking in the Dark", as I'd never read any other works by Mary Pappas. I read the book in about 40 minutes and, if I have any complaint, it is that I was disappointed that it was not longer. That is testimony to the fact that I thoroughly enjoyed it. Many of the tales have twists that you will not see coming. This is a great "commuter" read, ideal for the bus or train or to read during your lunch break.
This collections of short stories packs a wallop, that's because the other packs a whole story into a few pages. The ones in this book are on relationships, but oh what relationships, nothing is quite as it seems as Mary Papas takes the reader on a journey or two they will be thinking about for days to come. If you haven't read any of this authors works, I highly recommend all her stories and know readers will be surprised and satisfied. Mary Papas is an author you know you can always count on for a good read.
